Professional Image (Dress Code)

All Future Professionals must adhere to the following professional dress code while in attendance:

  1. Future Professionals may wear black, gray, or white in any combination. Gray is a combination of black and white, without other colors.
  2. A minimal print in clothing is acceptable if it is a black and white print.
  3. Clothing should be clean.
  4. Shoes may be any color, practical, and comfortable shoes are recommended. Shoes must have a closed toe.
  5. The following is a list of acceptable dress:
    1. Jeans or clothing made of jean material if they are black, gray or whote in color.
    2. Bottoms (jeans, pants, skirts, shorts, dresses) must cover mid-thigh.
    3. Any clothing, including sweatshirts, printed T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and/or jackets with the Paul Mitchell logo or the school logo may be worn. No other printing or logos are allowed.
    4. Stylish hats, scarves, and stylish head wraps.
    5. Shirts must be crew neck and may not be see-through.
    6. Shirts must be long enough to touch the bottoms (pants, jeans, shorts and skirts).
    7. Colored accessories may be worn (items like: belts, hats, socks and jewelry)
  6. Name tag — as provided by the school. All Future Professionals are required to wear a name tag while in attendance.

The following is a list of unacceptable dress for all Future Professionals in attendance:

  1. Sunglasses.
  2. Lingerie and/or pajamas.
  3. Headphones, and/or earphones are not permitted in the classroom or the clinic classroom.
  4. Visible underwear.

Future Professionals who fail to comply with the Future Professional dress code may be coached and may receive an advisory.
